I’m a
Tools & Network
Programmer
About Me
Programming was not something I had in mind of pursuing. In high school I got to realize how wrong I was. I got to code for the first time in C++, and realized how you could easily create complex pieces of software from scratch. This new passion for programming and my already big interest for videogames helped me to choose DigiPen to further expand my C++ and game developing knowledge.
In DigiPen I was able to understand how diverse the software and videogames industry are. Here I was also able to learn about and work on these fields:
Tools design and programming, Graphics programming, Game AI programming, Neural Network programming, Network programming, Front end, Rapid Prototyping, Agile Methodologies, Working hand to hand with artists, Developing games using a realistic game development pipeline, Version Control tools (Git, SVN) …
Talking about the game engines I have been using, Unity has been the comercial engine, but for the most part I have been working on custom engines created from scratch using C++.
Most of the programming has been in C++ and C#, for Unity. But I have also been working with JavaScript to set up a User Service API.
Right now I am eager to join this growing industry as a Tools Programmer focused in Network programming. Been able to put into work all the skills I acquired this past years, and at the same time keep developing my programming skill set and contributing to great games or software projects.
